itorcTec’s mission is to provide affordable solutions for the market to access accurate and reliable tightening torque data in the possible simplest way.
While founded in Singapore in 2018 aiming to set up the next global manufacturing hub, itorcTec’s mother company ITORCTEC TECHNOLOGY is a Taiwanese design and manufacture that focuses on embedded strain gauge principle torque transducer assembly tools. How to detect, monitor, control, display, report, record and communicate information generated and/or collected during fastening with reasonable costs in terms of innovative products and solutions is what itorcTec strives to provide to the market.
As the demand for data in smart manufacturing and automated production on the rise, founders at itorcTec saw transitions from previous conventional working conditions to the digital world is not all that easy for a greater part of the market. We know there are still so many jobs out there that cannot afford such unbearable high costs but pursuing reliable tightening data is inevitable. itorcTec is now the first and only company on earth thus far that made transducerized shut-off tools available to the assembly industry. This is what itorcTec believe and devoted to as the right thing to do.
Everyone knows manufacturers in Taiwan can make quality goods at a reasonable cost. There are so many conventional hand tools designed and made in Taiwan and can now be found in almost every corner of the world. Shut-off screwdrivers, cordless drivers, impact drivers…, etc. All these tools are good but one thing: lack of data. Unlike other market players trying to benchmark their products with world market leaders, itorcTec is fully dedicated to turning these conventional tools into something innovative and wanted by the market: affordable data options. The problem TMC is trying to solve for the market is not to replace all the conventional shut-off tools with a more expensive one with data but to offer an affordable data option of a conventional shut-off tool when it becomes absolutely necessary. Just imagine how many times a conventional shut-off tool user turns away an expensive digital solution because the cost makes the job unattractive. And how many job opportunities were lost just because there wasn’t any data option? What if an affordable data option is available when the opportunity was there?
itorcTec’s first innovative line of product is named Transducerized Clutch Screwdriver (TMC). It is nothing but a conventional shut-off screwdriver with an embedded strain gauge torque transducer. It doesn’t change the way how the tool is used, just added the flavor of warning the user the fastening job is done properly or poorly and recording the result. TMC will be covering a torque range from 0.05 to 20.0 Nm with both torque and angle reporting capability. There is no other manufacture offering the same kind of product which makes TMC the one and only screwdriver product in the market today.
TMC solved the problem of lack of data issue of the world's most popular torque limiting screwdriver. But it is merely the beginning of what itorcTec plans to solve for all the known and unknown issues within the industry. itorcTec will continue to make these technologies simple and easy to use while helping industry solving issues, most importantly, make them affordable as well.
